Indy tech company captures innovation award at Consumer Electronics Show
The School Bus App “Here Comes the Bus”® lauded for its simplicity, pricing model and customer satisfaction in the mobile computing category
LAS VEGAS – The Indianapolis tech company behind the free mobile app that has revolutionized the school bus experience is bringing an innovation award, from the Consumer Electronics Show, home to Indy.
The free mobile app “Here Comes the Bus”, was recognized in the Mobile Computing category and was one of 11 brands honored by the IHS Markit Innovation Awards in technology industries that included Virtual Reality, 3D Scanning and Robotics.
Synovia was participating in the ShowStoppers product exhibition as part of its attendance at one of the world’s largest tradeshows when it was recognized by IHS Markit.

The award to start 2019 comes off a banner year in which the app surged to more than a million downloads, resulting in a top 50 position among education-related apps on the iTunes app store.
The free app that’s revolutionizing the way parents, students and education officials interact with the school bus commute has earned 4.6 stars on the app store with more than 35,000 reviews.
Launched in 2014 by Indianapolis-based Synovia Solutions LLC, the app “Here Comes the Bus” provides real-time tracking info as well as e-mails and push notifications to connect parents and students with their bus. If a school district has deployed Synovia Rider Attendance module, the parent will also get a real-time alert on the app when their child gets on and off of the bus.
